Meet Mary aka "Rain"

Mary, better known as "Rain", has a primary focus on Afrocentric and Contemporary art styled paintings. Raised in Abington, PA, Mary's love of the arts evolved while being raised in a multi-talented household during her childhood. She started drawing at a young age and began to paint in her late teens. As Mary's passion grew for painting, she started to freelance her artworks which gained notoriety in her local community. Soon after, Mary's acrylic paintings, décor and custom-made pieces began to land many small business opportunities at a rapid pace.

After freelancing for a few years, the love of her work by local clients continued to grow. Mary knew then she was on to something special. After contemplating her next moves, Mary decided to take her business to a professional level, she felt it was time. After a few months of searching, Mary was introduced by a good friend to a local marketing company to assist in taking her business to the next level. A new business plan started to manifest, and Mary opened (Artistic Rain Creative Art Center) in 2018. The center was geared towards the arts, small events, and served as an art space for local artists. The center had to close right before the pandemic hit, but it did not deter Mary's vision.

Every entrepreneur understands it takes time to build a brand, so Mary will often remind herself of her own words, "Visualize and Believe." If you just breathe and allow your inner vision to come alive through your artistry you can achieve anything.

Mary's creations have become a favorite among many. She's hosted several group paint nights which included the Girl Scouts (troop 7776), Abington Hospital, several wine glass paint nights, and a holiday bazaar to name a few. Several craft night venues also invited Mary to showcase her talents.

In Mary's eyes everyone is an artist. "Visualize and Believe" is her mantra. "Creations come from deep inside" says Mary. She currently travels to her clients to host paint parties, event décor setups, and much more. Mary is looking to expand her services back into a creative space, look for the announcement in early 2024.
